In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 23: 27-38

Jesus was taken to Pilate. The crowd said, “Crucify him!” He was crucified with two criminals. Darkness fell and he breathed his last.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: 1 Kings 6-7

Solomon built the temple. The LORD said, “If you walk in my ways I will dwell with Israel.” Solomon overlaid the temple with gold.

Solomon built his own house. Hiram made pillars, the sea and utensils for the temple of bronze. Solomon made the furniture of gold.
