Welcome to the Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church. If you have reached this point, it is likely that you desire to be part of a group that are seeking to follow Jesus Christ in truth and in spirit. We hope that our church can become that place for you.
We at the Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church firmly stand on the promises held within the doctrine of Grace. We believe that mankind, by our very nature is unable to save ourselves eternally. Likewise, we believe in an almighty God that has all power to save and has redeemed a people through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
In our worship service we hold to a simple New Testament model of singing, praying and preaching. The love shared between the saints of God and the preaching of simple Biblical truth mark our worship services.
If you are looking for a group of believers who attempt to follow Christ while also supporting one another in our daily walk you have come to the right place. Here we believe that we are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

In 1 Cor 14:26 it says that when they got together, it wasn’t to “worship”, but to build each other up. It wasn’t a “service”, it was more like family time. Each one contributed with a song, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue. It wasn’t one preacher up front preaching. New testament churches probably met in homes and didn’t sit in rows of pews. There was conversation not preaching. They prayed together, fellowshiped together, taught each other and ate a meal together. All was done to build each other up.
