In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 19: 1-28

Jesus ate with Zacchaeus. He told a parable about servants in the kingdom. He rode into Jerusalem on a colt and wept over the city.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: 2 Samuel 7-9

The LORD said to Nathan, “Tell David: ‘I will establish your house. Your son will build my house.'” David prayed, “Who am I, O LORD?”

David defeated the Philistines, the Moabites, King Hadadezer, the Arameans and the Edomites. He reigned over Israel with justice.

David heard about Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth, who was lame. He restored Saul’s land to Mephibosheth and had him eat at his table.
