This week in our Old Testament readings we move through the second book of the prophet Samuel.  We learn more about the life of David as the King of Israel and how he was focused on serving God during his time as King.  In the New Testament readings we learn from the account of Luke about the Lord’s teachings regarding discipleship and being a servant and we move toward the coming death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
