In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.
Morning Reading from the New Testament: Mark 10: 32-52
Jesus was questioned about divorce. He told a rich man to sell everything. He said, “The first must be last.” He healed Bartimaeus.
Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Numbers 34-36
Your borders in Canaan shall be Edom, the Great Sea, Mount Hor and the Jordan. Eleazar and Joshua shall divide the land among you.
You shall give cities to the Levites. Appoint cites of refuge for anyone who has killed accidently. A murderer shall be put to death.
The clan of Gilead asked about Zelophehad’s daughters. Moses said, “Daughters who inherit land must marry within their own tribe.”
