In our Old Testament readings we continue in the beautiful prophecy of Isaiah.  The book of Isaiah is filled with prophecies of the coming of our Lord.  In our New Testament readings, we finish our readings of Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, we make our way through the entirety of the book of Colossians, and conclude our readings with the first chapter of 1st Thessalonians.  As we read both from the Old and New Testament writings we should remember that these were the words that the Holy Spirit inspired God’s prophets and ministers to record for the sake of God’s people and as such they are profitable unto us.
