In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.
Morning Reading from the New Testament: 1 Corinthians 15: 1-32
Christ was raised from the dead. If not then your faith is futile. But he is the firstfruits. At the trumpet we will all be changed.
Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Proverbs 9-10
Wisdom has built her house. She says, “Come, leave your folly.” The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Folly knows nothing.
A wise son makes a glad father. Love covers all offences. With many words, sin is not lacking. The righteous will never be uprooted.
