In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Acts 27: 26-44

We set sail for Rome. A storm struck and all hope was lost. Paul said, “Take heart, we must run aground.” Everyone reached land.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Psalms 53-55

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” There is no one who does good. Will evildoers never learn? God has rejected them.

Save me, O God! For strangers have risen against me. God is my helper. He will repay my enemies. I will praise your name, O LORD!

Give ear to my prayer, O God. My heart is in anguish. It is my equal, my friend who rises against me! Cast your burden on the LORD.
