In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.
Morning Reading from the New Testament: Acts 26
Paul said, “I opposed the name of Jesus. He appeared to me and made me a witness.” Agrippa said, “This man could have been freed.”
Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Psalms 47-49
Clap your hands, you nations. How awesome is the LORD Most High! Sing praises to our God, sing praises. He is king of all the earth.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised! The joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion. O God, we ponder your love in your temple.
Hear this, all peoples! Man in his pomp will not endure. He is like the beasts that perish. But God will ransom my soul from Sheol.
