In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Acts 25

Festus arrived and summoned Paul. Paul said, “I appeal to Caesar.” Festus brought Paul before King Agrippa to decide the charges.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Psalms 44-46

O God, our fathers have told us how you drove out the nations. But now you have sold your people. Awake, O Lord! Rise up and help us.

My heart overflows with verses for the king. Your God has anointed you with gladness. All glorious is the princess in her chamber.

God is our refuge. We will not fear, though the earth give way. The nations rage, kingdoms fall. “Be still and know that I am God.”
