In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.
Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 22:1-30
Jesus took Passover with the disciples. He prayed at the Mount of Olives. Judas betrayed him to the chief priests. Peter denied him.
Evening Reading from the Old Testament: 2 Samuel 21-22
There was a famine; so David sought the LORD. He let the Gibeonites kill seven of Saul’s descendants. Israel fought the Philistines.
David sang: “The LORD is my rock; I called and he thundered from heaven; He delivered me from my enemy; I will extol you, O LORD!”
