In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 1: 24-56

The angel Gabriel foretold the birth of John. He told Mary, “You will have a son named Jesus.” Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord!”

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 33-34

Moses blessed Israel before his death: Let Reuben live; bless Levi’s work; Joseph’s land is blessed. The eternal God is your refuge.

Moses climbed Mount Nebo. There the LORD showed him the promised land. Then Moses died. No prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses.
