In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 1: 1-23

The angel Gabriel foretold the birth of John. He told Mary, “You will have a son named Jesus.” Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord!”

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 31-32

Joshua will cross ahead of you. Read the law every seven years. The LORD said, “The people will turn away. Write a song as a witness.”

Ascribe greatness to our God! The LORD’s portion is his people; They turned away so he spurned them; But he will provide atonement.
