In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Mark 14: 1-25

Jesus took Passover with his disciples. He prayed in agony in Gethsemane. Judas betrayed him to the chief priests. Peter denied him.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 17-19

Anyone who breaks the covenant shall be put to death. Go to the priests with hard decisions. Appoint the king that the LORD chooses.

The priests shall eat the offerings made by fire. You shall not practise divination. The LORD will raise up a prophet from among you.

Set aside three cities so that anyone who kills accidently may flee there. A matter must be established by two or three witnesses.
