In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.
Morning Reading from the New Testament: Matthew 13: 33-58
Jesus gave a parable about a sower. He told the disciples, “Seeing they do not see.” He said, “The kingdom is like hidden treasure.”
Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Genesis 42-43
Joseph’s brothers went to Egypt to buy grain but didn’t recognize him. He kept Simeon in prison and sent the rest to fetch Benjamin.
When the grain ran out, Joseph’s brothers went back to Egypt with Benjamin. Joseph invited them to his house and gave them a feast.
