A Note from Our Pastor:

“Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

Ephesians 1:23

Good Morning Dearly Beloved,

The mystical body of Christ. A gift of God and purchased by Jesus Christ himself for himself.

As the human body is one, but made up of many members each in perfect proportion and symmetry so is the Body of Christ. The church or Body of Christ being composed of many members which appear independent yet make up one body together.

The truth about this body being, it only works if the members work together and serve each other. Just as in a natural sense, if the foot screamed every time the leg forced it onto a hot surface the church cannot function if the members are consistently opposed to being in service to one another.

Furthermore, it would be quite awkward if the foot, elbow, and ear could all do the same functions as the eye. We would have sensory overload and likely not have the information we need. Each body part is designed to perform a specific function and when they all work together we are able to do amazing things. Likewise, each member of the Body of Christ is given different gifts and ways to serve. We are not all given the same gift and thank God for that. Instead, our gifts work together that we might do amazing things in service to our Lord.

Although made up of many parts, we must remember that the Body of Christ has only one head which is Jesus Christ. We must trust his vision, his knowledge, and his guidance for the Body as a whole. Thank God we have a head on this body that knows what is best for each member of the body.

Our Prayers are with you daily,

Brother Jeremiah
