In this second sermon in the 2nd Peter series the fifth verse of the first chapter is expounded upon. With verse five, it is necessary to understand the meaning of the verse in order to prevent taking a view that promotes our own works over the work of Christ. The ultimate message with this verse being that the phrase “add to” does not mean “in addition to” but rather “to be worked out” or “developed”.
