In this sermon Elder Cunningham continues the study of the book of Ezra, moving now to the seventh chapter.  Here we learn that Ezra was not only a scribe but also a priest due to an everlasting priesthood granted to his lineage.  Ultimately, we see how Ezra says that he prepared his mind to do three things: 1) seek after the laws of God; 2) to do the things of God; and 3) to teach the statutes and judgements of God to those around him.  From Ezra’s example we are reminded of the need to prepare our hearts to not only seek after God but to do the things of God as well.
