The study of the book of Ezra continues this week by examining the end of the 6th chapter.  In the final portion of this chapter we see the dedication of the temple taking place.  In describing that service Ezra relays a few key facts; 1) they offered a sin offering; 2) the Priests and Levites were pure and made the offering for all; and 3) only those that had separated themselves from the filthiness of the land were allowed to participate.  In these facts, we see the Lord laying the foundation for how the Communion service should take place in the New Testament church.
