In our Old Testament readings we continue in the beautiful prophecy of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah is filled with prophecies of the coming of our Lord. In our New Testament readings, we make our way through the entirety of the book of Ephesians (chapter 1 was Thursday) and are reminded of the simpleness of the truth of Salvation when we believe in the completed work of Jesus Christ. We are also reminded that because our salvation is complete we should be motivated in our actions to serve the Lord.
