In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: 1 Corinthians 9

You are the seal of my apostleship. Do we not have the right to material support? But I made myself a servant to all for the gospel.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Psalms 136-138

Give thanks to the LORD, his love endures; who spread out the earth, his love endures; who led Israel out of Egypt, his love endures.

By the rivers of Babylon, we wept when we remembered Zion. How can we sing the LORD’s song? O Babylon, happy the one who repays you!

I give you thanks, O LORD! All the kings of the earth will praise you. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life.
