The Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church continues a study on the subject of conversion by examining the conversion of the prophet Elisha. Elisha was the disciple and son in the spirit of the prophet Elijah. When Elijah was taken up in whirlwind, Elisha prayed for a double measure of the holy spirit. He was granted his prayer because he kept his eyes on God. This sermon is a reminder to us that as the generation before us passes, we have a duty to focus on the Glory of God and to seek to be twice the disciples of Christ that the generation before us were. We are reminded in this sermon that this is the most difficult conversion, but it is necessary for the health of the church.
