In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Acts 8: 26-40

Philip proclaimed Christ in Samaria. A magician offered money for the gift of the Spirit. Philip baptised an Ethiopian official.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Job 13-15

“I want to argue my case with God. Be quiet and I will speak. Though he slay me, I will hope in him. God, why do you hide your face?”

“Man is like a fleeting shadow. If a tree is cut down, it will sprout again, but will a man live again? You overpower him forever.”

Eliphaz said, “Your own mouth condemns you! Why do you turn against God? The wicked will be like a vine stripped of unripe grapes.”
