In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Acts 7: 44-60

Stephen said, “Brothers, God called Abraham and appeared to Moses. You killed the Righteous One.” They were enraged and stoned him.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Job 7-9

“O God, my life is but a breath! Therefore I will speak out. What is man, that you examine him? Why have you set me as your target?”

Bildad said, “Does God pervert justice? Learn from past generations. He will not reject the blameless, nor will he uphold evildoers.”

Job said, “How can a man dispute with God? His power is vast! But he destroys the innocent. If only there were a mediator between us!”
