In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: John 11: 47-57

Lazarus died. Jesus went to the tomb and said, “Lazarus, come out.” Lazarus came out. The chief priests plotted to put Jesus to death.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: 1 Chronicles 28-29

David assembled the leaders and said, “The LORD has chosen Solomon to build his house.” He gave Solomon the plans for the temple.

The leaders gave offerings. David prayed, “Yours is the kingdom, O LORD. Of your own have we given you.” David died at an old age.
