This week in our bible readings we continue with John’s account of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ in our New Testament readings and move into the book of 1st Chronicles for our Old Testament readings.  The book of 1st Chronicles begins with a genealogical history of Israel, in the first 9 chapters, and then moves into a history of the reign of King David and King Solomon.  The books of 1st and 2nd Chronicles are the last of the “histories” in the Old Testament.
