In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Luke 6: 1-26

Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath. He chose twelve apostles. He said, “Blessed are the poor. Love your enemies. Hear and do my words.”

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Joshua 21-22

The Israelites gave cities and pasture lands to the Levites. So the LORD gave Israel all the land he had promised to their fathers.

Reuben, Gad and Manasseh went back to their land and built an altar. They reassured Phinehas that they had not turned from the LORD.
