In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Mark 9: 30-50

Jesus took Peter, James and John and was transfigured. He healed an epileptic. The disciples argued about which of them was greatest.

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Numbers 30-31

When a man makes a vow he must not break his word. When a woman makes a vow it shall stand unless her father or husband forbids it.

The LORD told Moses to take vengeance on the Midianites. The Israelites killed the men, burned their cities and divided the spoils.
