In the morning let us prepare for the new day with the words of the New Testament and in the evening let us reflect on how God moves in the lives of his people.

Morning Reading from the New Testament: Matthew 12: 1-21

The Pharisees opposed Jesus when he healed on the Sabbath. He said, “A tree is known by its fruit. The sign of Jonah will be given.”

Evening Reading from the Old Testament: Genesis 36-37

Esau’s sons were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam and Korah. Esau and his family moved away to Seir. They became the Edomites.

Joseph was Israel’s favourite son. He had dreams and his brothers were jealous so they sold him. He was bought by Potiphar in Egypt.
