The Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church continues the study of the book of Psalms this week with the 46th Psalm.  The message begins in the book of Isaiah in chapters 36 and 37.  These chapters present the story of Hezekiah trusting in the Lord in the face of the Assyrian empire.  This account provides the backdrop that caused Hezekiah to write the 46th Psalm.  In the 46th Psalm the listener is given a metaphorical description of the events that can then be applied to any situation a Child of God should face in this life.
