The Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church continues the study of the book of Psalms with an examination of Psalm 57.  In this Psalm, David writes of his own tribulations but in so doing also presents a wonderful analogy to explain the relationship between the gospel and spiritual life.  As David says, the gospels impact on a person dead in trespasses and in sins is analogous to the impact of a snake charmer on a deaf adder.  No matter how wise or cunning the preacher is the gospel cannot cause life as that is the work only of the Lord.
